I have degrees in Early Childhood Education and Curriculum and Instruction, both from the University of Cincinnati. I taught kindergarten before staying home with my children and am currently teaching First Steps classes through Ann Arbor Rec and Ed. As an educator, I believe children learn best through play in an environment where they feel safe and supported. I also believe that parents are a child’s most important teacher and love that they play such a big part at Dexter Cooperative Preschool. I think a cooperative setting is the perfect place for children to start their school journey (Both of my children did!)!

Outside of teaching, I am married with two children and a pup. My son is a 3rd grader, my daughter is currently at the Dexter Co-op, and our dog is 5 years old. We enjoy playing games and sports, traveling, and reading good books together.
