• 4 year old classes meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
  Morning classes 8:30 am - 11 am
  Afternoon classes 12:15 pm - 2:45pm

Due to high demand, on April 22, 2010, the 2009-10 Co-op membership voted and approved the addition of 15 minutes per class period. These changes will take effect during the 2010-11 school year. However, due to the proposed single tier transportation plan possible within Dexter Community Schools, we have decided to wait and set our class hours after Dexter Community Schools determine their school hours. 3's will continue to meet on Tuesday and Thursday, and 4's will meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The DCNS 4 year old program runs in mornings and afternoons on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. There are three assist parents present during each class session to help the children as required. With the parents interacting with the children, the environment for preschool learning is natural and warm. As the year proceeds, the families become close, a sense of community is felt. This program is taught by Mrs. Joan Vladuchick.

Pamela Wittenberg teaches the three-year-old program at the Dexter Cooperative Nursery School. The three year olds attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays and there are two sessions (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). There are three assist parents present during each class session to help the children as needed. It is a very warm and inviting atmosphere in which children and parents can interact and get to know each other. This provides a great environment for preschool learning.
